By Don Low, Singapore We were given, in July, a pair of tickets to the S.E.A Aquarium at Sentosa island but were too busy to go since then until this holiday season. We waited till the eve of Christmas Eve. After having a lazy start in the morning, we headed out to Vivo City where we would take a sky train to Sentosa., an offshore island in the south of Singapore, where Universal Studios is, without realising that the holiday crowd would be there. When we arrived, the station was already jam packed with people, waiting to board the skytrain. It did not help that the day was very hot and humid. In a couple of minutes, I was totally drenched in my perspiration. There was nothing that felt like Christmas. For anyone who has been to Singapore, they would totally understand what I am talking about. The SEA Aquarium is one of the largest aquarium in the world (that's what I heard) and has at least 100,000 underwater animals from 800 species. My favourite exhibit is the one with the shipwreck. Since this was our second visit, we decided to spend a little bit more time to sketch the giant habitat. It has a lot more viewing space and it wasn't that crowded, so we could actually sit on the floor at a far corner without obstructing anyone.

Throughout the whole sketching process, I couldn't help but have a feeling that I was underwater since the tank is so huge. After spending about 4 hours in the aquarium, we took refuge at a nearby Starbucks, where I was back to drawing people. The bottom 2 figures were done at another coffeeshop.
