I am a scenographer (stage and set designer) and fine artist living and working in Paris, France. For more than ten years now, I have also been painting and drawing outdoors. In Paris or when traveling, I spend my time painting... I work almost exclusively with watercolors: my favorite tools are a big brush, a little box of watercolors and a large watercolor sketchbook.
My favorite subjects are architecture, art and artists. I like to visit exhibits and museums, and discover the installations of incredible artists! I am very interested in exploring their work in my own drawings.
I have long painted bodies in motion, so when facing a landscape, I look for the same dynamic given by its colors, its light or the inhabitants of the place. I paint in a hurry, as if the subject could disappear at any moment. Urban vistas, interior spaces or characters are captured without prior sketch by broad brush-strokes of colors. Watercolor is unforgiving but I love being surprised by water over moist paper or a pigment that dilutes too quickly.
